In a twist that has shocked Star Wars fans worldwide and stunned both sides of politics, Donald Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer called a press conference to overrule Lucasfilm’s much speculated on announcement that the 8th film in the Star Wars saga would be titled “The Last Jedi”.
Mr Spicer got into the spirit of the announcement with some fun Star Wars cosplay.
The press secretary then announced the 8th film in the Star Wars Saga will be called “There Are Many Jedi, Period”, period.
Initial reports that the revised title was “There Are Many Jedi, Period, Period” were deemed “false news” by the Trump administration.
“The second period meant that “There Are Many Jedi, Period” was the title period. Not that “There Are Many Jedi, Period, Period” was the title, period”, a key Trump administration insider has told The Midichlorian Count.
President Trump tweeted about the issue.
Many have questioned how he got so many characters in a single tweet.
This move is not without precedent, Ronald Reagan demanded the very first Star Wars sequel be renamed The Empire Strikes Back after hearing the early proposed title Star Wars II : Kissing Your Sister.
The original Empire Strikes Back title.
A frustrated press were told there’d be no questions.
Mr Spicer concluded the press conference on a positive note, “With Samuel L Jackson back as Snoke, Star Wars is back”.

This just in from starwarscelebration.com…
We regret to inform Star Wars fans world wide that due to the now non-European location of Star Wars Celebration Europe, we have been forced to cancel this event.
This will no way affect plans for the Orlando based Star Wars Celebration 2017, unless, you know, Trump.

I’ve just gotten word that a subplot in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is that one of the Deathtroopers, an avid Star Wars collector, is, like many collectors, seeking revenge from the Hasbro Star Wars team for their recent articulation and distribution issues.
Released by Entertainment Weekly, this photo clearly shows the Deathtrooper carrying a Black Series figure, with the hope of personally “expressing his concerns” to the Hasbro Star Wars team about its production quality.
The addition of the collecting-crazy trooper continues Lucasfilm’s focus on in-film Star Wars collectors.
“At last we’ll have our revenge.”
A Hasbro source didn’t seem concerned with this rumoured threat, “We’ll be fine. Our upcoming Deathtrooper Nerf blaster can’t shoot for shit.”

While some Star Wars fans were shocked and even disappointed that the official confirmation of Darth Vader’s big screen return was a low key mention on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, one fan thought it was spot on. “I actually missed it the first time I saw the cover” states Star Wars fan Estelle Sanders. “When I did notice it down there, I was like, meh”.
“Should Vader even get a mentioned on the cover?” asks Estelle Sanders.
While Estelle is quite excited for this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story feature film, the news that Darth Vader, rated by the American Film Institute as one of the greatest film villains of all time, is returning, “does nothing” for her.
“He’s already in 4 films, been there done that”.
When asked if the official reveal might have been better saved for a trailer or video surprise at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration Europe, Estelle was resolute. “I can live without all those fan boys tearing up to “Sheev, we’re home.””

The United Kingdom’s Star Wars fans will today vote in the historic EU referendum.
Ever since the now Disney-owned Lucasfilm announced that the events depicted in the EU (Expanded Universe) would have no bearing on future story telling, the United Kingdom’s Star Wars fan base, much like the rest of the world’s, has been divided.
I realized that the EU and the connections it built were a fragile house of cards. And the way it was structured in relation to production..
— Pablo Hidalgo (@pablohidalgo) May 20, 2016
Lucasfilm executive Pablo Hidalgo expresses his concerns in relation to staying with the EU.
Whilst some celebrated being removed from the often-complex EU, others were mortified that all this hard work had gone to waste and protested for its return.
Respected media outlet The Guardian expressed their thoughts on the future of the fictional universe, “Thursday’s vote is in some ways a choice between an imaginary past of which too many in this country cannot let go and a future about which all of us are inescapably uncertain.”
Some saw the Guardian’s editorial stating, “Thursday’s vote has become a turn-in-the-road issue for Britain and Europe alike,” as mealy scare-mongering, and that much of the EU may return in future official films, television projects and printed media.
English Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha make no secret of their loyalty to the EU during their trip to the polls.
Royals, like Princes Harry and William, have thrown their support around the new canon of Star Wars storytelling by visiting the Star Wars Episode 8 set. Critics say this political stunt was a step too far.
Madeuppshire residents (from left) Marc Nubolde & Jimmy Burn are hopeful for Star Wars’ future, regardless of the result, while their friend Daz Lutch (3rd from left) is obviously a dick.
While long queues have been reported outside some polling stations, many potential voters are staying home. One Londoner, responding to our recent survey, summed up the feelings of many fans: “When it comes down to saving the post-Return Of The Jedi life of either Han Solo or Chewbacca, who am I to say?”
Others we talked to were more steadfast in their beliefs, simply replying “May God Save the Queen & Mara Jade.”

With the reveal of Forest Whitaker playing the Clone Wars cartoon character Saw Gererra in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, speculation mounts about what other fan favourite characters might be portrayed on the big screen.
After reaching out to well-placed sources, the secrecy around several new rumoured additions to the Star Wars: Episode 8 cast now makes sense if these four much-demanded characters do return.
Welcome to Spoiler Town – population: YOU!
Benicio Del Toro’s reputation for playing ruthless gangster style characters will only grow, if our inside tip that he’ll be bringing Clone Wars Movie star Rotta The Hutt to live-action is correct. We’re hearing one scene, with a yet-again-captured Poe Dameron referring to him as “Stinky,” is sure to have fans in hysterics.
If fans loved the return of Darth Maul’s torso in Star Wars Rebels, they’ll be beside themselves when Kelly Marie Tran brings Darth Maul’s legs to Ahch-To to confront Luke Skywalker with the Knights of Ren! Early set reports confirm that she’s got legs and she knows how to use them.
Princess Leia better make sure she doesn’t get in hot water when political shark Riff Tamson, rumoured to be played by Laura Dern, returns from the Clone Wars to make waves in the Resistance!
Fandalorians rejoice! Leaked set photos clearly show Adrian Edmondson has been brought on board for the much awaited return of Jango Fett! Word is he’s still bitter at the Jedi after what went down at the Battle Of Geonosis.
These are very exciting times! What other characters would you like to see return in a future Star Wars film? Let us know on our Facebook thread.

Upon reading the EW tease before class, the two fans have been trying to nail down who Forest Whitaker could be.
Jay Warrde & Randle Lounpronounceable, two hardcore Star Wars fans have spent the morning desperately trying to think of which character Forest Whitaker could possibly be playing in the much anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story after Anthony Breznican’s tease in EW that fans “will recognize immediately when they see his name, even if he looks very different than the way they’ve seen him elsewhere.”
Hoping to be credited with breaking the news, dedicated Midichlorian Count reader Jay Warrde sent us screen shots of their discovery…
With the character name to be revealed today, it would seem that all of Jay and Randle’s work could be for nothing. Much like this article.
