While some Star Wars fans were shocked and even disappointed that the official confirmation of Darth Vader’s big screen return was a low key mention on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, one fan thought it was spot on. “I actually missed it the first time I saw the cover” states Star Wars fan Estelle Sanders. “When I did notice it down there, I was like, meh”.
“Should Vader even get a mentioned on the cover?” asks Estelle Sanders.
While Estelle is quite excited for this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story feature film, the news that Darth Vader, rated by the American Film Institute as one of the greatest film villains of all time, is returning, “does nothing” for her.
“He’s already in 4 films, been there done that”.
When asked if the official reveal might have been better saved for a trailer or video surprise at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration Europe, Estelle was resolute. “I can live without all those fan boys tearing up to “Sheev, we’re home.””
